This notice is for shoppers who use an Amora "virtual try-on" tool on a merchant's online store — for example, uploading a photo of yourself to see how a garment would look on you.

If you're a merchant using Amora, or a direct API customer, our Privacy Policy applies to you instead.

Who Is Responsible for Your Data

When you use a try-on tool on a merchant's store:

The merchant is the data controller. They decide to offer the try-on feature, and your use of it is governed by that merchant's own privacy policy. Direct requests about your data to the merchant first.

Amora is the data processor. We provide the try-on technology and process your photo only on the merchant's behalf and on their instructions, to generate the image you asked for. We do not use your photo for our own purposes.

What We Process

• The photo you upload of yourself.
• The garment image for the product you are viewing.
• The generated try-on image.
• Basic technical data needed to deliver the result and prevent abuse: a timestamp, the store domain, an anonymous event type, and device type (mobile/desktop). We do not attach your name or account to this.

You provide your photo only after ticking the consent box shown before upload.

What We Do With It

We use your photo only to:

• Generate the virtual try-on image you requested, and
• Return that image to the store page.

We do not:

• Use your photo or the generated image to train, fine-tune, or develop AI models.
• Create face templates, faceprints, or any biometric identifier from your photo.
• Use facial-recognition technology.
• Sell your data or share it for advertising.
• Share your photo with any third party for that third party's own purposes.

Sub-processors

To generate the image, your photo is processed by our infrastructure providers and AI image-generation providers acting as our sub-processors, under contract, solely to perform the generation. They may process the image outside your country under appropriate transfer safeguards.

Retention

• Your uploaded photo and the generated image are automatically deleted within 72 hours.
• If the photo is received but not processed, it is deleted within 1 day.
• Anonymous technical event data may be retained by the merchant and by Amora for analytics for a limited period and is not linked to your identity.
• If the merchant uninstalls Amora, merchant-scoped data is purged, and any residual shopper event data is removed from analytics stores shortly afterwards.

Your Rights

Because the merchant is the controller, please send requests to access, delete, or object to the processing of your try-on data to that merchant. The merchant can instruct us to act, and we will. You may also contact us at shrut@amora.org.in and we will route your request to the relevant merchant and assist them in responding.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share your personal information.

Children

Try-on tools are not intended for anyone under 16. Do not upload a photo of a child.
